The design principles of bends conform to those of the corresponding GUR series. The built-in stiffening layer is not rigid to provide the bends with a certain remaining flexibility and has benefiting effects during erection of pipings.
Apart from basic bends, immuG offers a large number of special constructions with properties to fit the customers’ needs.
In the interest of providing a longer service life for bends coming into contact with highly abrasive suspensions, we increase the thickness of the bends outside wear layer radius. Any parts subjected to vacuum operation contain stabilisers made from textiles for small diameters and from steel for larger dimensions.
Our range of products also includes bends with side lengths unequal in length merging into a bow equipped with an unilateral extension (AV). These parts are particularly appropriate for any existing steel pipings to be replaced by GUR. When used, the number of parts required can be reduced significantly. The same applies to combinations of bend with reducers (R) in one element. In addition, reducing bends also are always asymmetric, and the reducer is always located at the long side of the bends.
The following table1) gives an overview of our standard range of bends. Smaller opening angles can be supplied with increasing r/NW-ratios.
